I replaced my Boyesen with the v4 force on my 99 cr125 and noticed that i didn't have the bottom end that i had but gained on the mid to top end. I really liked having the bottom end for trail riding.

Nice review. Seriously thinking about a purchase on this one. It's just the wife and I. Got a question about the video though (at 19:45). What is the extended, coiled wire, going from the camper body, to the forward-bottom side of the slide out? Thank you, in advance, for your answer.
No worries. There are a couple of lights in the slide out. That wire supplies the power to the lights. Hope that helps!
That deserves a like
Sounds like a constipated pee shooter.
i got the same bike blowing spark plugs like crazy. im at 590 feet elevation. what mix do you use ? i was mixing factory recommended 32/1 now im 40/1 still blowing. im gonna rejet it soon. i do alot of muddy trails not rippin it like im at the track. not riding that power band alot.
Manual actually recommends running 30:1. I run Maxima 927 at 32:1. The JD jetting kit and the recommended setting in that kit are critical to a good running YZ125. Mine runs perfect. I am now running a Smartcarb, and even better. It also makes a big difference in overall power and smooths out the power a little. But it's very expensive. JD Jetting kit at the very least is needed for this bike to run really good.
@@GOATbro_Australia sick thanks man. Can you drop the smart carb link ? I think I’m gonna go that avenue just looking at my options on it and where to get one.
@@personal8795 smartcarb.com/
Price.
nice trail not to crazy
So. Beautiful ❤
Hey did you end up trimming the inside of the boot at all? Just got mine and contemplating on cutting a bit out
I probably didn't need to, but I did trim a little just to be safe. If you take your airbox/subframe off, you can mount the carb to the airboot. If you spin it around, you can see if the rear ports clear the inner lip. Also, once installed, your shock spring will rub slightly on the airboot at the very top of the stroke. Some are sanding a spot down to clear it, but I have not found a need too.
@@GOATbro_Australiaalright sweet thanks for the fast response I’ll run with it I’m sure some 3m tape or something would be a little extra barrier but once you sit on it I assume there’s daylight
Most of those issues sound like the dealer not the machine, interestingly I added straps to my daughters eBike battery cover on the basis that the covers on most of these bikes don't seem to fit very securely ...
What are your garage dimensions.
For the boat part only, I have a 12 foot high, X 10 foot wide roller door. The bay is 26ft long.
Thanks for the review! I am picking up my identical twin here soon enough! So many lever action options but this one was calling me, probably the big open loop, scope rail on top and the custom gray wood had something to do with it!
Sounds mean. I have the same bike but stock. Looking to do this eventually
How can you make it faster
You can with a Speedbox chip.
What’s the build quality like …
I have a few eMTBs and the overall quality is very good on the HC5. I think the battery cover could be better for sure, the charging port cover is not great, but they changed that on later models, and the stock pedals are junk. Other than that it has held up well after 150 miles. I really like it. It's hard for me to compare it against other bikes, but I would say it's good value for the money, and should last a very long time. Hope that helps.
@@GOATbro_Australia cheers bro… thank you…
Absolutely have the same issue. Brand new..... I could barely get the tube to close with three rounds and I kind of forced it with four which smashed most of the rounds in the tube, good thing it didn't blow up on me 🎉 And then no way you're going to get that fifth round via side gate. After really trying to force that fourth round via tube fed, closing it, pop the lever open as well. After tinkering around with it for about 20 minutes, the lever seized open....., Forced the lever closed and the gun pretty much became destroyed after that. It will not close all the way, it's rattling and clunky, the elevator that lifts the next round is seized and the gun is pretty much a paperweight now. Contacted their customer service, going to have to play that game. I told them if they think they're going to just repair this one not acceptable. I want a brand new one, and you better make sure that there is absolutely no issues feeding the five rounds via tube or side gate because if there is I will take my money back. My first time purchasing a Henry rifle, I've got cheap Chinese POS firearms that function perfectly fine... To spend almost $1,200 on american-made that falls apart without even being able to shoot the weapon is super concerning. I think they just rushed this design mass-produced a bunch and didn't really refine it. Very disappointed!
I hear ya! I was pissed too. They did repair mine and did cover all costs, but I can't blame you for wanting a new one. Anyway, mine has worked without issue since being repaired, but it was a pain. Once working, it's a great rifle, but it should have come that way from the factory for the money you spend.
How many ppl does it hold legally?

Did you change your jetting after installing the Rad Valve? Or did it not need it with the KX112?
I jetted it to the owners manual recommended settings for my riding conditions and installed the RAD Valve at the same time.
@@GOATbro_Australia Right on. Just curious - The Rad Valve manual suggested a jetting change? I'm asking because I recently purchased one but the manual wasn't included. And Boyesen didn't get back to me. I've read mixed responses from people. Half saying no. Half saying the opposite. I appreciate the response. Big time.
@@HexBMX I never saw any recommendations for jetting changes. I would just jet to what your manual says for your conditions, and you should be good. Running with 32:1 mixture. That's where I would start. Worked perfect for me.
@@GOATbro_Australia Thanks. Yeah, I'm going to drop the main jet down one and see how it does. It's running the stock pipe except for the FMF Powercore silencer. It's also running well now. So it should be relatively easy to dial in. But I can see the reeds are ready to be changed. I appreciate the responses.
Awesome 🙌🏼
Did you have problems with the airboot rubbing? Just put it on my 2023 125x and it’s rubbing. Pretty disappointed lol all that money just for it not to fit properly
If the bike is on a stand and the rear suspension is fully extended, it might rub slightly. The actual length of the carb is the same as stock when I measured, so I am not really sure why it would rub, but yes when the suspension is fully extended it seems to rub slightly. Probably not much of a concern. Maybe contact SC and see if they have more insight into this.
@@GOATbro_Australiasweet thanks for responding, I ended up trimming the airboot because I was paranoid and didn’t wanna have to rip it apart again
@delayeddeyhaus7720 so your happy with it now? Keep me posted.
@@delayeddeyhaus7720 SmartCarbs are slightly longer end-to-end than stock due to routing the vent passages internally. There's only so small it can be shrunk before running out of room for those passageways. That said the longer length is typically a non-issue. Slight airboot/shock spring contact is permissible and will only result in the boot shining up over time. The spring doesn't move enough to cause any actual wearing through of the boot and is at its worst at full extension up on the stand. Removing the reed spacer, if present, will shift the carb forward and away from the spring. In general we don't recommend running the Boysen RAD valve in conjunction with a larger-than-stock diameter rear shock spring. Doing so really limits the amount of room for the carb. Happy to answer any questions!
@@SmartCarbFuelSystems ya I ended up sanding down the outside a bit but stopped and just threw it on. Once I sit on the bike there’s not much contact if any. Started 2nd kick and it runs better just out the package. Still not perfect but I’m gonna let it break in a bit before lean it out a click or 2
what did the unit as equipped cost you before taxes?
I won't go into exact details, and I don't actually remember without digging up all the paperwork, but I paid roughly $12k below MSRP. Keep in mind that was 12 months ago, and the MSRP can increase one or more times a year.
I love your shirt

Of course wake boats in the background natural lucky peak
Looks like you made the video before even testing the JD kit. Not very helpful video. Any follow up. How did it run? Looks like you may have abandoned it and gone with a Smart Carb so not good?
Sorry yes, I did test the kit, and no complaints. Ran smooth and clean. A definite improvement over stock. It's worth the money. As for the Smartcarb, that was mostly to satisfy my own curiosity and it surprised me. It added significant power across the board, especially on the low end, and runs even cleaner and smoother than the JD kit. In my opinion, it was worth the expense. The JD kit is certainly worth doing if you can't afford a SC. Hope that helps, and sorry again for that lack of detail.
Hello sir, I'm a little lost with the nocks, there are from 10:80 to 11:80, which one to put to have the biggest bass for enduro? Thank you very much, greetings from Spain

My Mc le husky is a tremendous player up and down
Can you make an updated video? I'm planning on purchasing one but am unsure what brand to get. Does this generator run your whole house including your AC?
Yes it runs my whole house including AC and our Well pump.
Does it add extra power , with the standard insert?
I don't have the standard insert, so I can't say, but assume it would not.
Does the VHM head and standard insert add much extra power?
I can't say that it does. I don't have the standard insert, so unfortunately I cannot really say.
If you dont mind me asking what is the color & name of your backsplash? It compliments your countertops beautifully
Just trying out the same rifle, the apeture does not seem very accurate to me, the front sight is too short it seems
Question, why doesn’t Yamaha make it like vhm head?
They want to save money.
@@GOATbro_Australia you’d think they’d want to make the best engine possible to compete with the Austrians

size? and your height?
Medium, 5-10
This was a cassette issue... What cassette did you replace it with?
I want to buy a 2 stroke as a first dirt bike but don’t know whether to get a KX112 for 4900$ out the door or cough up the extra 3K+ to get a team blue or 50th anniversary 125 before it’s too late? I’ve ridden bikes just not 2 strokes besides a 65 KTM. I’m an adult basically and with gear I’m probably just under 6’1 I’ve heard people say that are 5’10-11 that they fit on the KX112 no problem because of the bigger wheels and swing arm. Any advice ?
I think you would be happier in the long run with a 125. The KX112 would be fun for a while, but you would get your money's worth from the 125. Just my 2 cents. Hope that helps!
At 3:30 you mentioned water creating stains. I wasn’t prepared for that on mined !!! Simple as spilling a water bottle will leave spots .. have you resealed? Any particular sealer you recommend?
How is the Smart carb vs JD jetting?
Different. The JD kit cleans up the jetting and allows the bike to run clean. The Smartcarb does that as well but also provides a noticeable boost in power across the board, especially on the low end. It also has a stronger, smoother feel. Just depends on what your after. Thanks for watching!
One last question why SC over Lectron Pro Billetron
@@danieljohnson7893 I like the design of the SC a bit better, and it's known to provide a bigger boost on the low end, which I wanted.
